The Internet of Things is an important part of the new generation of information technology. Its English name is "The Internet of Things." Therefore, as the name implies,"Internet of Things is the Internet of Things." This has two meanings: first, the core and foundation of the Internet of Things is still the Internet, which is an extension and expansion network based on the Internet; second, its user side extends and expands to any item and item for information exchange and communication. Therefore, the definition of the Internet of Things is through radio frequency identification (RFID), infrared sensors, global positioning systems, laser scanners and other information sensing equipment, according to the agreed protocol, any item connected to the Internet, information exchange and communication, in order to achieve intelligent identification of items, positioning, tracking, monitoring and management of a network.

1. Cloud computing: From computing center to data center In the early stages of the Internet of Things, PoP can meet the needs;

2. In the advanced stage of the Internet of Things, MVNO/MMO operators (which have existed abroad for many years) may appear, and a combination of virtualization cloud computing technology, SOA and other technologies is needed to realize ubiquitous Internet services: TaaS (everyTHING As A Service).

With the development of the Internet of Things in recent years, cloud computing will accelerate the integration and optimization of resources, according to different needs, get corresponding resource support in the resource pool, in order to save costs, improve the utilization rate of resources, boost social restructuring, and achieve scientific development. As the main body of this society, it provides continuous impetus for the development of information technology.

There is also a link between the Internet of Things and cloud computing. The National Internet of Things Demonstration Project is jointly promoted by the National Development and Reform Commission. It aims to use Internet of Things skills to enhance professional production and management level, improve social management and public service level, and promote industrial transformation and improvement of people's livelihood. The demonstration project includes 9 key areas: police equipment management, criminal control outside prison, special equipment supervision, express credible service, intelligent pension, precision agriculture, safe operation of reservoirs, ocean transportation management, and hazardous chemicals control.
