This lab will experience system setup for Microsoft Teams using the Office 365 Administration Console. Learn about the relationship between Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business, and trends for migrating from Skype for Business to Microsoft Teams.

Access the Office 365 management console as an Office 365 tenant administrator

Close and reopen Edge, type http://www.office.com in the address bar, and log in using your Office 365 administrator account. Format:

youradminusername@yourtenantname.onmicrosoft.com

Click "Login," enter the corresponding Office 365 administrator password, and click "Login."

Note that if the page displays information about a previously used account, click "Sign in with another account" and enter the Office 365 Administrator account username.

Click the "Manage" icon in the "Applications" page, or click the "Jiugong Box" application navigation icon in the upper left corner of the page, click the "Administrator" button in the "Applications" of the navigation bar to enter the management console.

II. Preview Teams Management Center

In the navigation bar on the left side of the console, click "Show All" at the bottom.

Click "Teams" in the "Admin Center" in the expanded navigation bar to enter the "Microsoft Team Admin Center."

Note: In mainland China, there may be areas where Microsoft Team Administration Center cannot be accessed and opened. At this point, you need to close the browser, put down "×××," reopen the browser, and then access it through "×××." This question will no longer be prompted later.

Watch the Dashboard for information about Microsoft Teams. You can see that Microsoft is launching Teams as an upgraded version of Skype for Business. If you need to know about the plan to upgrade Skype for Business to Teams, you can click on the relevant content in the dashboard.

Click the Teams button to view existing teams in the current organization and to create new teams. and senior management of the team from an administrator perspective.

Click the "Devices" button to manage and control all devices in the current organization. Here you can create and upload profiles and update all the devices you use.

Clicking the Location button allows you to upload a CSV file containing a range of location information identifying the physical address or location of buildings, offices, and organizational IP sites in the Location window. IP address information can then be associated with physical sites in the organization.

Click the "Users" button to view and manage all current Teams and Skype for Business users, and configure the user's Teams properties;

Click the "Conference" button to expand the menu, including "Conference Policy,""Conference Settings," and "Real-time Event Policy." Meeting policies control which features are available to users when they join an online meeting.

Click on the "Meeting Settings" button to control whether anonymous users can join online meetings, set meeting invitations or enable Quality of Service (QoS); ports can be set to real-time communication. The settings here apply to all online meetings that users schedule in their organization.

Click the "Real-time Event Policy" button, which is used to manage event settings for user groups. You can use default policies or create additional policies to assign to users who host real-time events within your organization.

Click the Messaging Policies button, which controls which chat and channel messaging features users can use in Teams.

Click the Voice button to expand the menu and the Direct Routing feature connects a supported Session Border Controller (SBC) to the Microsoft Phone system to enable voice calling.

Click on the Analyze and Report button, where you can create different reports to mine the usage details and statistics of Teams by users in your organization.

Click Organization-wide Settings to expand the menu, including External Access, Guest Access, Team Settings, and Teams Upgrade. External Access Configure Teams users within the organization to communicate with users outside the organization. When external access is enabled, Teams users in the organization can send instant messages, add to meetings, and conduct audio and video conferences with users in the external organization corresponding to the specified domain name.

Clicking on the Guest Access button enables guest access to Teams, allowing users outside of the organization to access teams and channels, and allows settings to control what guest users can use.

Click on the "Teams Settings" button. Through the Teams Settings, you can set up email integration, cloud storage options and device settings for the team. The settings changed here are global and apply to all teams within the organization.

Click the "Upgrade Teams" button to upgrade users in your organization from Skype for Business to Teams through Teams Upgrade. You can use the default settings, or you can change coexistence mode and application preferences to suit your organization's needs.

III. Extended Management Tools

Currently, at the bottom of the left navigation bar of Microsoft Team Admin Center, there are three expanded tools: Old Portal, Call Quality Dashboard, and First Line Employee Configuration. Where Old Portal opens the Control Management Center that was provided earlier for Skype for Business.
