The Intel Raptor Lake-P (RPL-P) Engineering sample (ES) processor appears to have passed the UserBenchmark test suite. This 14-core, 20-thread processor seems to have achieved beyond acceptable performance. Compared with the best Alder Lake-P chip, Core i9-12900HK, the new chip is far ahead in single-threaded and multithreaded testing. Twitter's momomo_us found this entry, but as with all pre-released benchmarks with rough codes, please add a little salt to the results.

The latest "P" chip marks it as a mobile version with no name at all, but UserBenchmark's limited system information reports it is on the "Intel RaptorLake-Px LP5 ERB" motherboard. In addition, the system identifies itself as the "Intel Raptor Lake client platform".

Interestingly, UserBenchmark reports that RPL-ES chips are "limited to 87% by Windows", indicating that there is still untapped potential.

In addition to the "Intel 0000" processor, the test system is equipped with Intel Iris Xe Graphics,UserBenchmark to describe it as "very poor". The fast 250GB NVMe PCIe SSD and 16GB DDR5-6400 improve the Windows 11-driven system.

We refined the basic single-threaded and multithreaded CPU testing of RPL-P ES chips and added the best core i9-12900HK in Intel's current generation of Alder Lake-P series. In addition, we added a desktop Alder Lake CPU that can run 20 threads at the same time, namely Core i7-12700K.

If you focus on the results, you will find that RPL-P ES performs better than the previous generation in single-threaded and multithreaded CPU tests. However, we must keep in mind that this is a test sample compared to the average performance of hundreds of Core i9-12900HK chips, some of which are as good as the new RPL-P. In addition, please note that some of the many ADL-P systems will be overclocked and have better supporting components and faster memory.
