This article is followed by a "getting started: detailed steps for virtual machines to build a hadoop environment". In the previous article, someone asked why the hadoop installation was not written. As stated at the beginning of the article, the hadoop installation will be written later, because the entire series of articles involves screenshots of each step, resulting in a long article as a whole. Will first introduce the installation of the virtual machine, Linux system installation, and then write to the hadoop installation, about the hadoop version I use the big fast search three-node distribution version DKhadoop. (the three-node DKHadoop distribution can be downloaded from the page of the express website. At present, all permissions are open, that is, the permissions of the free version are the same as those of the paid version. Statement: the platform runs in Linux environment. For ease of operation, 64-bit CentOS system version number 6.5 is used in this example to introduce the operation. Unless otherwise specified, all operations described in this document are subject to this version of Linux.

Installation preparation

Put the system installation CD into the CD-ROM drive, power up the server and enter the BIOS settings interface (due to different server brands corresponding to different motherboard systems and different keyboard shortcuts, please give priority to the actual situation). The operation of entering the BIOS settings interface varies according to the server model. For specific operations, please consult the server hardware provider. The usual operation is to press F2 or F10 on the startup interface, and the BIOS setting interface is similar to the following:

1. Adjust the server CD boot to the first position, as shown in the following figure.

2. Press F10 to save and exit, and the server will enter the system installation interface.

Installation steps

The installation selection interface for server startup, as shown in the following figure, select the first item:

If there is a question about whether to test the CD media, choose "Skip" to skip the test.

3. When the following screen appears, click next:

4. Select the language as follows: Chinese (simplified) see figure 4-1; keyboard selection: American English style, see figure 4-2

5. Select the first item, basic storage device

6. Choose to ignore all data

7. Set the host name. Take node as an example (you can set it as needed) as shown in figure 7-1. When setting the name, the network is also set, as shown in figure 7-2.

8. Set automatic connection, IPv4 setting, manual connection

9. Time zone selection: Shanghai, Asia, tick before "system clock uses UTC" and use UTC time

10. Set the root account password and set it according to the actual need. This is the certificate required by the management system in the future:

11. Select the fifth item (create a custom layout), view and modify the partition layout, and click next:

20. Select "Desktop" and "customize later" as shown in the following figure. Click next.

Other options are available by default, and the next step is to start installing the package. After installation, click "reboot" to complete the installation and restart the server.
