2. Two production IP addresses are required, which are connected to the production network through the stored An and B control ports (Ethernet ports). The An and B control ports each contain two Ethernet ports. A2 and B2 ports are used uniformly in the configuration process.

Note: the default addresses of An and B control ports stored by IBM DS4000 are:

A1:192.168.128.101

A2:192.168.129.101

B1:192.168.128.102

B2:192.168.129.102

1. Change the storage control port address

Open Storage Manager 10 client on the console side

Enter the stored control port address (if the network cable is connected to A2 port, enter 192.168.128.101)

Open the following interface:

Modify the address of A control port 1.

After modification, log in to the connection with the new IP address through storage manager client

After the address of A control port 1 is changed, the address of port B1 needs to be changed to the address of A control port 1 on the same network segment.

If the address of port A1 above is changed to 10.1.200.75Universe 24, then the address of port B1 needs to be changed to the address within 10.1.200.0Universe 24.

When the storage can be connected to Ethernet through the control port, do the following configuration.

Exit Subsystem manager, return to Enterprise Manager, and open edit- > Configure Alerts

Add the address and group name of the monitoring platform. Then Test tests it.

3.TRAP V2 event normalization rule configuration

According to the mib definition of DS4000 storage in SM10_R2.MIB, the following mib needs to be escaped into variables in the event preprocessing rule:

Note: 11.1.200.30 is the IP address of the storage console, and the storage TRAP is actually sent through storage manager client's Event Monitor service.

Event content: IBMDS4000@ deviceUserLabel@ deviceErrorCode:@ trapDescription

Note: deviceUserLabel represents the name of the subsystem of the storage device

DeviceErrorCode indicates the error code that occurred on the device

TrapDescription represents a simple description of TRAP events
