Ukrainian retailer ITbox has released a large number of Z490 motherboards from MSI and Gigabyte in its online store. Naturally, as the motherboard has not been officially listed, it is impossible to verify the accuracy of ITbox pricing. The main board price is listed at the hryvna exchange rate, which is the official currency of Ukraine, including 20% VAT. For convenience, we converted the price into US dollars.

It is well known that outside the United States, the price of computer hardware is usually much higher. As a result, the price of ITbox may be higher than we expect here. For comparison, we also use the price of the previous generation Z390 motherboard ITbox.

By contrast, Gigabyte released a total of 17 different Z390 motherboards. ITbox lists Z490 models, so there are only two fewer models than the previous generation. As usual, gigabytes will come in different sizes from mini ITX to electronic ATX.

It seems that Gigabyte may also redesign some brands of the Z490 series. The lineup includes two new Vision series motherboards, but the Designare model is missing.

In terms of price, the price of gigabit motherboard rose 27.6% to 53%. Unfortunately, ITbox does not have a complete Z390 portfolio in gigabit terms, so it is not possible to compare all models, especially the more luxurious ones, such as the Gigabit Z490 aorus xtreme or the Gigabit Z490 aorus xtreme water rce.
