Under the automatic option, there are also two check boxes: automatic distribution during a Windows upgrade, and automatic distribution to all applicable systems.

When the first check box is selected, the driver is classified as dynamic update. When you update the operating system, Windows automatically downloads the drivers in this category.

When the second check box is selected, once the driver is released, it is automatically downloaded and installed on all applicable systems.

All "automatic" distribution drivers must be evaluated and verified by Microsoft Driver Flighting.
