Shulou(Shulou.com)06/03 Report--
Java developers rely on the sample analysis of the Spring framework. For this problem, this article introduces the corresponding analysis and solutions in detail, hoping to help more partners who want to solve this problem to find a simpler and easier way.
Diffblue, in collaboration with Vanson Bourne, conducted a survey of 15 questions among 450 Java developers. The target respondents for this survey are Java developers who use Spring and other frameworks. Of the respondents, 81% were male and 19% were female; most (53%) were aged between 35 and 44.
The results show that 86 per cent of Java software engineers rely on the Spring framework, and 96 per cent of Spring users say the tool can help them become better Java developers. The report also points out that Spring/Spring Boot developers tend to pay more attention to unit testing than non-Spring users, tend to have higher code quality and more maintainable code, and have better code coverage in the organization.
According to the report, Spring users spend 25 per cent of their time testing, while non-Spring users spend 20 per cent of their time testing. Respondents said that the main benefit of Spring/Spring Boot is that it saves them time; the second is that the framework can better support unit testing.
However, even though a lot of time was spent writing and maintaining tests, 45% of respondents said that their code test coverage was less than 50%. 37% said their coverage was between 26% and 50%; 25% reported that their coverage reached 76%, 100%; and only 6% said their code coverage reached 100%. In the last 6%, all of them are Spring users. In response, DiffBlue CEO Mathew Lodge said, "this just highlights the difficulty of unit testing."
On the other hand, when developers are asked to use the terms "reliable, maintainable, testable, portable, automated, and modern" to describe their organization's code. The majority (51%) of respondents described their code as reliable; 50% chose modern and 40% chose maintainability. And although respondents said they spent 1/4 of their time testing, only 37% of respondents described their code as testable. Spring users are most likely to describe their code as maintainable.
The survey also pointed out that DiffBlue Cover was described as "very useful" by 39 per cent of respondents, second only to JUnit (44 per cent) and TestNG (40 per cent), while Parasoft ranked fourth with 38 per cent of JTest. DevOps and web security are basically tied for the top priorities of the organization (both greater than 90 per cent), followed by cloud computing applications, accounting for 47 per cent.
This is the answer to the sample analysis question about Java developers relying on the Spring framework. I hope the above content can be of some help to you. If you still have a lot of doubts to be solved, you can follow the industry information channel for more related knowledge.
