Generally speaking, we still recommend using xinetd to start services, especially server architectures such as FTP. In this case, we use xinetd to start it, but the proftpd profile proftpd.conf must specify the setting value of ServerType. There are two options:

Standalone: it means to start an emergency.

Inetd: indicates the use of super daemon, which is used by both inetd and xinetd.
