Background: a production oracle10g (10.2.0.5) database is planned to migrate to Oracle 11.2.0.4.0 RAC.

1) upgrade from oracle10g (10.2.0.5) to Oracle 11.2.0.4 (process slightly)

2) migrate Oracle 11.2.0.4 single instance to Oracle 11.2.0.4 RAC cluster

Description:

1) RAC is the same as the database name of a single instance, so there is no need to recreate or restore an instance, which also needs to be considered in advance.

2) the recovery process can be done directly on the original RAC instance, and some operation steps can be reduced, such as parameter files, password files, etc. you can use the original RAC configuration without modification.
