Solution:

Check whether the corresponding network card is working properly and see if the host connection is connected.

After VMware workstation, there will be two network cards, VMnet8 and VMnet1, in the network adapter of the control panel. If you do not have these two network cards, or only one of them, then there is a good chance that this will lead to the failure of ping.

If it is connected, check the host control panel\ network and Internet\ network connections to see if there are VMnet8 and VMnet1 network cards.

If not, it means that the two network cards are not working, just restart. However, there are these two network cards on the personal host, and the virtual function is connected to the network, so it shows that the virtual network card is working normally, only that the host is not connected to the two network cards.

VMware's virtual network card configuration program on the computer is called: virtual network editor, generally can be found in the start menu, if not, you can go to the VMware installation directory to find.

After the above steps, this can not completely solve the problem of ping failure, because: the Nic of VMware workstation uses dynamic IP allocation, which will lead to failure after a period of time, the IP of the virtual machine will change, and finally lead to ping failure.

Solution:

Modify the effective cycle of dynamic IP (dynamic IP has failure time, which is known to all routers), and change it to permanent.

Assign a static IP to the virtual machine to fix the ip. This avoids changes in the IP of the virtual machine.

Ipconfig looks at the ip network segment of VWnet8 on the host:

Obviously not on the same channel. Modify the ip of VWnet8 to match the virtual machine ip.

You can modify the subnet to the same network segment.
