Microsoft has announced that it will not prevent users from installing Windows 11 updates on previous generations of PC. The software maker, known for providing the most commonly used software for laptops and PC, has set up a recommended list of hardware requirements for new updates.

Today, the company announced that it will still follow the same rules, but anyone with an PC using the old CPU can download the new Windows 11 updated ISO file and install it without fear of failure. Microsoft said it would not recommend the new option of downloading Windows 11 on unsupported computers or laptops because it could not ensure proper reliability and would not even promote this method of upgrading from Windows 10 to a new version of Windows.

This is a considerable change and ensures that there will not be many PC cards in Windows 10, because downloading Windows 11 is very easy, because users have to download the ISO file and install Windows 11. Considering that users are not all tech-savvy, most people may opt out, but this is a fairly simple process if you want. The minimum specification is also generous and available to most people, because users only need a 64-bit 1GHz processor with two or more cores and 4GB memory, plus at least 64GB storage.

In addition to the Windows 11 update, Microsoft said it would fix its list of minimum system requirements to add more processors, some of which are Intel Core X series, Xeon W series and Intel Core 7820HQ chip Studio 2 in Surface from the company itself.

It is worth noting that Microsoft has mentioned that it will not support Zen 1 CPU because it tested them but concluded that they were not added to the list of supported CPU.
