two。 Installation

All right, first install the UML tool EA, and then run the UML tool EAsetup.exe. It's easy.

Then install MDGlinkforEclipse, the UML tool EAEcplise.zip, in two steps.

* * step: there is a jar and an exe file after decompressing the UML tool EAEcplise.zip. Copy the jar file to your Ecplise's plugins directory. For example: d:\ eclipse\ plugins

There is a version of this jar file, such as org.sparx.mdg.eclipse_1.0.19.jar. The version of this file is 1.0.19. Make sure there are no other versions of this file in the d:\ eclipse\ plugins directory.

The second step is to run the exe file, which is the UML tool EAEclipse.exe, installation.

Now run the UML tool EA, and if MDGlink is successfully installed, there should be an Add_Ins directory after the TOOLS directory of the UML tools EA main menu. Without this directory, the link installation is not successful, and the UML tool EA can be used, but cannot connect to Eclipse. If this happens, it depends on whether your operating system meets the installation requirements, for example, 2000 does not have sp4 installed, and so on. Click Add_ins/Eclipse/Option, and a dialog box appears, entering the address of your Eclipse.exe, such as:\ eclipse\ eclipse.exe.

3. Connect Eclipse project with UML tool EA project

Click the main menu of UML tool EA File/newproject, and create a new UML tool EA project.

Click on the main menu Add_Ins/ConnectExternalProject/Ecplise, a conversation window appears, while Eclipse automatically starts, it is no problem to start Eclipse in advance.

4. Realize UML and code synchronization

Click Add_Ins/MeragewithEclipse in the UML tool EA, and a window appears, in which Selecttype chooses to synchronize, and none only generates UML class diagrams; Forward is the forward generated code, that is, the UML diagram in the UML tool EA is converted into java files in the Eclipse project; Reverse is reverse engineering, that is, the code in the Ecplise project is generated UML diagram; Both means forward reverse at the same time.
