1. Modify / etc/inittab, change runlevel to 5 id:5:initdefault: 2, change / usr/share/gdm/default.conf new default 444. Chmod 775 / usr/share/gdm/default.conf 3, edit usr/share/gdm/default.conf.

Enable=true # allows remote login locally (default is false)

Port=177 # xdmcp default port 177( commented out by default)

4. Install xorg-x11-xdm package 5, edit / etc/X11/xdm/xdm-config comment last line # DisplayManager.requestPort:0 6, edit / etc/X11/xdm/Xacces change # * # any host can get a login window to * # any host can get a login window remember to remove the first #. 7. The firewall opens port 177. 8. Restart CentOS system. 9. Run Xmanager to connect to CentOS.
