Several times "technical trivia" asked me to draft a proposition composition, but I didn't agree because I knew it required analyzing myself and interrogating my soul. I am still reluctant in human nature. Before the Spring Festival this year, I made an appointment with me again. I decided to write about some of my pain and happiness on the way to growth, and also to know more friends through the platform of "technical trivia."

Here I summarize my experience of these 15 years into six parts: "Life has noble people to help, a teacher for a day, a teacher for life, persistence in falling to the bottom, seeing the world, gaining insight, friends giving the most precious trust, fishing wisdom", and listen to me.

I was in 2001 on the university-my alma mater's name is Anhui University of Technology, a general undergraduate located in Ma On Shan. During college, I also failed several times. At that time, I had to pay for my restudy. However, I never failed my computer major course. I think this is the ability to eat in the future. I have to take it seriously.

At that time, there was no word anxiety. I remember that when I was a junior, I began to be a little anxious. After graduation, I was anxious about which city to go to for employment and what kind of work to do.

I still remember when I started to interview in Shanghai in the second semester of my senior year. At that time, I was very confused about my future direction. I remember the first interview was an interview for a marketing position near Dongchang Road in Shanghai. I forgot about the interview scene. I only remember that I said I could learn, but the final result was not accepted.

A chance I saw 51testing website, often go to the forum inside learning. I think I should try the test, which is easier than being a programmer (because I didn't participate in formal project internships during college, so my programming ability stays completely in book knowledge, and there are too few applications).

Interviewed several companies for junior test positions, and finally no one has been admitted to a company. I still remember that I was very depressed and went out drinking with a classmate from the next class. I could only drink to drown my sorrows.

God does not pay the pains, a chance opportunity I met a netizen in CSDN, we added QQ chat for a long time, talked about some of my interview failures, he asked me what the ideal is in the future, at that time there was no CTO this statement, I said I want to become a well-known company's total technical director.

He said, your goal is so clear, I suggest that your first job is to find programmers, learn Java, I have some cheats sent to you here (Thinking in Java and horse soldiers Java video course), so I spent a full 2 months to read the article, video read, although not fully understand but have some concepts in mind.

When I finally prepared to go to the interview, he said I have nothing to teach you, you go online search Java interview questions set to memorize him, listen to me.

Later on graduation I found a company where I started working as a programmer, but ironically the Java language was ASP.NET (C#).

There were also Java projects in later work, but they were mainly asp.net. But it also includes programmers. It's hard to get started.

Although I can't contact the netizen from Beijing now, I am grateful to him for his guidance on my future.

A teacher for a day, a teacher for life

In 2008, I moved from that small company to ZTE. The company was located in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech in Shanghai. From then on, I lived the life of Zhang Jiangnan.

At ZTE, I met my master. He is usually very easy-going, but he is especially strict when reviewing codes. I still remember that once I changed a function no less than 8 times, from the initial method variable naming, to the later logic function, execution efficiency and even exception handling and version compatibility, this time I gained more skills than the previous three years combined. Because before, small companies could just finish the project, but here, I learned the right programming thinking and how to write every line of code until it was perfect.

However, the good times don't last long. The technology used in ZTE is relatively backward. I don't like it very much. It is mandatory to work overtime 12 hours a week. No matter what happens, I gradually resist this kind of work. Another reason was that my development manager at the time had been with the company for eight years, and I thought if I was with the company for eight years it would take me eight years to get to development manager, and that wasn't the speed I wanted. By chance, my wife bought some daily necessities online. A unique name called "No.1 Store" came into view. I think this sales model is good and there will be great development in the future. Later, I submitted my resume and successfully entered this company.

Before I left, I talked a lot with my master, and I was especially grateful for his cultivation and the skills I learned here. Now some big festivals will talk to him and give him blessings. He will be a teacher for a day and a teacher for life.

See the world and gain insight

In May 2010, I joined No.1 Store, and there were only more than 20 people in the technical department. I remember that my job number was 177 at that time. I still remember that the whole No.1 Store had a sales website for PC in the front desk and a backstage system, and another was the warehouse system.

I remember joining less than 2 months ago, my leader asked me to take charge of the company's logistics system, so I took 2 brothers, there was no product and no test at that time, and quickly realized the system from 0 to 1.

Later, I experienced the process of orders from 5,000 to 400,000 per day, and experienced the whole process of the system from the initial stand-alone to the cluster to the service. In this process, I learned the background of e-commerce, SCM and the whole process of C-end commodity presentation and transaction, and witnessed the continuous design and evolution of business and architecture.

I think: "For an electric merchant, it is very happy and fortunate to be able to experience these processes completely.

Of course, I am most happy to meet a lot of professional friends in various fields here, such as DBA head from eBay at that time, experienced operation and maintenance network engineer at that time, later went to Ali's product Daniel, went to the product director of public comment, and some very senior HR friends, all of which are lifelong wealth.

Although it has been 6 years since we left No.1 Store, No.1 Store still has a magical resignation organization-No. 1 Person. We meet once a year to recall those past and remember the extraordinary years together.

Shop 1 is definitely one of the best companies I have ever experienced in corporate culture. Here I saw the world grow knowledge, led the core product and system evolution, but also laid a solid foundation for later career development.

The persistence of falling to the bottom

In 2014, because I felt that my efforts did not match the compensation given to me by the company, I left No.1 Store and joined a well-known P2P company in Shanghai as chief architect.

This is a very traditional company. When I came here, almost all systems were single points, and the whole company had 50 technologies, several development languages, and the development process was very random, let alone agile, devops, etc.

Later, I told the CTO at that time that this needed to be changed, and the CTO also supported my idea very much. We began to start where to start. At this time, a new CTO came. Later, I learned that the boss had long distrusted the original CTO, and the new CTO basically belonged to the free state for me. I took the initiative to ask him to have dinner and chat with him about some of my ideas.

Still limited in my life experience, I told him everything I said, and he agreed, but he didn't give any support in the actual work. He continued to herd sheep, and let his subordinates take over my work and arrange a casual job for me.

I have always been unable to figure out why a person who does things should be treated like this. I started looking for a job because I was too idle at ordinary times, but because of the pressure of mortgage and only about half a year after working here, I insisted that I learned to smoke at that time.

I have more time and more thinking, so I began to fill some blind spots in my knowledge, read a lot of books, and wait for new opportunities. Those days are very difficult, but I know that winter will always pass, spring will always come, I have reached the bottom is waiting for the opportunity to rebound just.

Friends give the most precious trust

A special opportunity I saw hungry takeout this product, think it is very fun, I judge according to intuition this may be a new opportunity for mobile Internet.

I asked my hungry friends to help me push in. They just needed a new technical director. I was sent away by HR after interviewing 3 technical heads of other departments. I didn't hear anything for a week.

Later, the friend who delayed the push may have been too busy at work or other reasons. I was actually forgotten. After another week, there was no feedback. I told my chief architect friend in No.1 Store about this. He happened to know the new CTO who was hungry at that time.

At noon on a weekend, the CTO called me and made some simple communication. Later, he also made an appointment with the founder of Hungry at that time to make a final face. Soon after, I joined Hungry as the technical director.

In fact, I haven't figured out the specific real reason yet, but I am very grateful to my colleague in No.1 Store for helping me communicate with CTO, which may be his role in endorsing my credit.

For more than three years, I have done two things: one is to build the whole system of complaints, feedback and internal process system in the customer service center, which helps me to make achievements in accepting external feedback and improving internal problem handling; Second, I have built the whole product of the business model of Hungry Future Restaurant and provided product support.

Wisdom inspired by fishing

After leaving hungry, I didn't immediately throw myself into the next job, but gave myself a long vacation. Three months of rest is too much of a luxury for a technologist, but he feels he keeps moving forward without even having time to think about his goals. Only when you stop completely can you think more deeply.

During the break I developed a hobby-fishing. In the eyes of ordinary people, fishing is to take a fishing rod, put bait, sit quietly by the river, waiting for the fish to take the bait. However, for me, a semi-professional, fishing is a very complex activity.

For example, the season is different, the choice of bait is exquisite. Most fish, like humans, prefer vegetarianism in summer and autumn, and meat in spring and winter. If you go fishing in summer but put meat bait, the fish caught will not be too much. In addition, the choice of fishing rod length also has mystery, different seasons, fish activity depth will be different, choose the wrong fishing rod may not touch the fish.

Fishing rod for big fish and fishing rod for small fish are also different. If you want to catch big fish but use fishing rod for small fish, even if the big fish bites the bait, it will escape.

Fishing has a lot of philosophy of life, the most important point is, you have to know what your goal is, what kind of method you want to use for this goal, and this method can not be fixed, you need to judge the fish mouth from the fish mouth fierce or weak to adjust the floating spirit and blunt, can be generalized to the height of philosophy.

After the break, I was completely clear about my goal. If my previous work experience was to help him cultivate in technical depth, what he needed now was multi-dimensional horizontal development, and he needed to arm himself more comprehensively. Summarize two principles for choosing a company: first, whether the industry in which the company is currently located is developing rapidly or stagnating; second, whether there is enough challenge and continuous challenge for what you can do.

Finally, among the many job opportunities, I chose shell to find a house."The most brilliant thing is to choose, and the most difficult thing is to insist. From this cognitive point of view, I think that the Internet industry basically cannot escape food, clothing, housing and transportation at present. However, both 'food' and 'travel' have giants. From the track of historical wheels, it may have reached the tuyere of 'living'. Moreover, when I first met my current leader, I thought he was a very reliable leader from his firm eyes and his vision for the future of shell housing, so I decided to join him.

Above, I talked about five iterations of a technical person in the past 15 years from six aspects, but my life is still long, and there will be painful choices in the future.

I may lose, I may lose myself, I may try hard but I can't reach it, I may have lost everything, no matter how hard I struggle, I can only cry out, maybe I just hold a handful of ashes in vain, only I am kept in the dark, maybe no one here bets on me. It doesn't matter. One thing is clear: at least I have something worth waiting for, something worth seeking.
