Use regedit.exe to open the Windows registry. Search for the registry key PendingFileRenameOperations:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Control\ Session ManagerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ ControlSet001\ Control\ Session ManagerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ ControlSet002\ Control\ Session ManagerHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ ControlSet001\ Control\ BackupRestore\ KeysNotToRestore if you find the registry key, back up each registry key first, and then delete the key in each registry key. Search for the RebootRequired registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ WindowsUpdate\ Auto Update\ RebootRequired if you find the registry key, back it up and then delete it. Installation files such as Sep64.msi that begin to bypass contain table structures that can be modified to change the logic or parameters of the installation package. So I tried to use software that could modify the MSI to complete the bypass check. This orca tool is available in Microsoft's SDK toolkit.

On the msi package, right-select Open with orca, and then find the Lauchcondition table on the left. Find two lines to detect pending system changes that need to be restarted, select delete, or change the condition to pass.

Save and close ORCA after

Do not use setup.exe to perform the installation, this will check the integrity of the software, just execute sep64.msi to install. Finally, it is concluded that the previous 12 version of symantec is gone for some reason. When it is suspected that it is a version upgrade, there may be an error when deleting the old version, but the new version will not be installed (check whether there is sep in the check condition).
