With the global economy ushering in a "new normal", the price increase for high-end smartphones may have been shelved. As Samsung has discovered, the price of luxury goods has really become a luxury that few people can afford. This may help one plus decide to go back to its roots and launch a more affordable phone again. This time, however, it may deviate from its usual naming convention and use a completely different name for something called oneplus z.

One plus eight and one plus eight Pro may be the company's best phones to date, but they are also the most expensive phones. Although one plus is still much cheaper than the same Samsung or Huawei phones, the original concept of "never solve" has been criticized. Chief executive Pete Lau recently confirmed that they were trying to reuse the product, but did not explain what he meant.

However, due to the leaked photo, we can now at least know its name. Originally expected to be called one plus Z, after these years of mid-range OnePlus X, one plus unexpectedly let people know that this phone can be called one Garnold. Of course, no final decision has been made before the phone is actually activated, but it is still a very special name and hardly conforms to the one plus convention.

However, any other name one plus Z or Nord will still have the same specification. Or at least the rumored specifications, including a reasonably priced 5G phone, a 90 Hz screen and the Snapdragon 765 CPU with four cameras on the back. In other words, the reasonably priced but rugged smartphones mentioned by Liu have only the right ingredients.

Given that mid-range phones have become more popular recently, this is due to better specifications and more affordable prices, which is of course a timely change. For the same reason, Samsung's Galaxy A phone even surpassed the Galaxy S20, making the mid-range smartphone market mature.
