The mongodb log configuration for general corporate applications is as follows:

logpath = /usr/local/mongodb/logs/server.loglogappend = true

This configuration writes logs to server.log by appending, but over time, server.log will become larger and larger, resulting in disk problems and slow log query processing.

You can manually cut logs without stopping mongodb using the following command:

>use admin>db.runCommand({logRotate:1})
