Under cmd: pin install robot framework reports an error:

UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xd0 in position 7: ordinal not in range

The reason is that the default encoding for windows's cmd environment is GBK,pip, and the default encoding is uft8 encoding. So when it is consistent, it will report an error.

Enter the following command under cmd: chcp

Corresponding code:

65001:utf-8

20936:GB2312

936:GBK

437: American English *

Thus it is concluded that the two are inconsistent.

Solution:

Modify the mimetypes.py file, located in the Lib\ mimetypes.py file under the installation path of python. Add the following lines under import sys to set the encoding to 'GBK'

If sys.getdefaultencoding ()! = 'GBK':

Reload (sys)

Sys.setdefaultencoding ('GBK')

Then save and re-enter: pip install robotframework
