Just 24 hours later, lost Ark easily had more than 1 million concurrent players, making it the second most popular game in Steam history. The MMO, similar to Diablo, was launched in the West yesterday after Amazon Games worked with Smilegate RPG to localize and translate Lost Ark and provide an English version. It has now passed the counter-terrorism elite: global offensive and Dota 2, both of which often top the list of Steam's most popular games.

The lost Ark is now so popular that it encounters a server problem and has a queue to start playing. SteamDB's list of "lost Ark" has a total number of online players of 1par 311 and 842, surpassing the record of 1308963 players on CS:GO and 1295114 on Dota 2. However, it is not clear how many of these players are actually actively playing games rather than sitting in the server queue.

Either way, it is now second only to PUGB in the top-level concurrency list. There is still a long way to go to beat the historic peak of 3257248 players in PUBG. Lost Ark is Amazon Games's second most popular game after New World set a record of 913634 concurrency players four months ago.

Lost Ark was first released in South Korea in 2019 and has millions of active players in South Korea and Russia. It is a free game and quickly rose to the top of the Twitch list, surpassing the popular Just Chatting category.
