List all available packages in the epel repository

To list all packages in the epel repository, run the following dnf command,

[root@baiked~]# dnf repository-packages epel list …………… Last metadata expiration check: 0:38:18 ago on Sun 13 Oct 2019 04:28:24 AM BST. [root@baiked ~]# dnf repository-packages epel list |grep -i nginx install packages from epel repository

Suppose we want to install the htop package from epel repo and issue the following dnf command,

Syntax:

# dnf –enablerepo="epel" install

[root@linuxtechi ~]# dnf --enablerepo="epel" install htop -y Note: If we do not specify "-enablerepo = epel " in the above command, it will look for the htop package in all available package repositories.
