Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--

In this article, we will show you how to send alerts for Microsoft Azure Service Health to Microsoft Teams so that the company's Azure operations team can be notified in time when there is a problem with Azure resources. In the past, if we want to check the health status of Azure, we need to open the page https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/status/, and then check your personalized dashboard (which will take you to the Azure service health service), which requires the operation and maintenance staff to open the page in real time to actively view it. When we use Micrisoft Teams, we can realize that when the Azure resources in a certain area fail, the Microsoft Azure Service Health alarm information will be automatically sent to Teams, thus reducing the workload of the operation and maintenance staff.

With less gossip, let's take a look at how to achieve it:

Get email address

Open Teams and navigate to the Teams channel where we want to receive alerts. I use the AzureTeam team here, and then click "..."-"get email address" next to the channel name:

When you click finish, a window pops up with an email address. Click copy to copy the e-mail address to the clipboard and close this window:

Now we have an email address to receive Microsoft Azure Service Health alert messages.

Configure Service Health

Log in to Azure Portal and click "All Services"-"Service Health":

Click "Create service health alert":

Set "Alert Details", and then click "Create New" under "Action Groups":

Enter "Action Name", select "Action Type" as "Email/SMS/PUSH..", click "Edit Details", check Email and enter the email address we saved earlier:

Now click "Create alert rule" to finish creating the rule:

After the creation is completed, we can click "Health alerts" to see the alert we just created:

If you return to Teams, you can see that we have been added to the Action Group you just created:

We have now created an Azure service health alert and set up to send email to channels in Microsoft Teams. In the future, when there is a problem with azure resources, we can receive the message in time.
