Host configuration

A host is any entity that has an IP address corresponding to the resource of the information system. For example: server, router, switch, firewall, temperature sensor, IP camera and so on.

All of these host additions are made in the menu:: Configuration = > Hosts = = > Add

Parameter information

The Host Name field defines the hostname that the monitoring engine will use.

The Alias field displays the alias of the host.

IP address / DNS defines the IP address or DNS name of the host. The resolve button enables us to resolve the domain name by asking the configuration on the DNS server.

SNMP Community & Version configure snmp community name and version

Monitored from indicates which PROPER server is being monitored for this host

The Timezone / Location field indicates the time zone location of the monitored host. .

The Host Templates field enables us to associate one or more host models with this object.

Check Command indicates the command used to check host availability.

Args defines the parameters of the Check Command command (more than two parameters are defined with "!" Separate).

Check Period defines the period of time during which the scheduler checks the state of the object.

Max Check Attempts defines the number of checks to be performed: when the exception exceeds the set number of times, the notification process is triggered.

The interval between checks when the Normal Check Interval host is in normal state

The interval between checks when the status of a Retry Check Interval host is abnormal

Whether active checking is enabled for Active Checks Enabled

Whether passive checking is enabled for Passive Checks Enabled f

Notification Options defines alarm status, multiple selections (Down, Unreachable, Recovery Flapping, Downtime Scheduled, None)

The The Notification Interval notification interval is expressed in minutes. (it indicates when each notification is sent when the state is abnormal. If the value is defined as 0, the scheduler sends only one notification based on the state change. )

The Notification Period notification period field, indicating the period of time during which notification is enabled.

The First notification delay first notification delay is expressed in minutes. It refers to the time delay to be observed before sending the first notification when the status is not confirmed.

The notification time after the Recovery notification delay host is restored, and if the value is defined as 0, the scheduler sends a notification immediately according to the state change.
