Please allow me to introduce myself first. I used to be a non-testing industry. I just do a little bit of work with IT, known as "information worker". Because the job is boring and unchallenging, I'd like to see if I can change careers and do something else. That's why there are the words "zero experience" in the title. Later, I learned on the Internet that the software testing industry is good, and the entry threshold is low, so I intend to give it a try. When I was reading materials on the Internet, I came across the video of teacher Xiaoqiang, which has been available since a few years ago, at least it makes people feel that I have been working hard in this area. In the process of chatting with my teacher, it was the sincerity of the teacher who decided to let me change my learning. the teacher analyzed the pros and cons of changing careers and told me that I was not advised to change careers, because the risk was high, rather than blindly signing up. I'm glad I made the decision in retrospect.

All right, there's a lot of nonsense. Here I would like to share with you the interview process of this zero-experience person. Unlike other friends who have had several years of testing experience, my interview is so painful that it cannot be described in words.

1. Preparation of resume. I took the time to learn the basics of software testing, and under the guidance of teacher Xiaoqiang, I also did several projects to do the complete functional testing process several times (I remember not less than 8 times in the construction of the test environment). In addition, I studied the performance test so that the preparation of the resume did not take much time to write. Looking back here, there are a few points that we should pay special attention to:

L format should be clear and clear, not so fancy, after all, we are technical.

L the content should be concise and powerful, highlighting what is different from others.

Project experience is particularly important, choose projects that you are familiar with and can handle. The project lies not in quantity but in quality. At that time, Xiaoqiang teacher often told us that many people who worked for 10 years were not as experienced as those who worked for 2 years, just because the quantity went up but the quality declined seriously.

Each project should highlight its own characteristics and not be the same.

Xiaoqiang comments: resume is our "facade", so we must pay attention to it. The first thing to see if you can get an interview is your resume. The trainee has basically made the main points out. You only need to pay attention to the description of the project. You can describe what has been done, what problems have been found, or what new technologies have been introduced. In addition, do not write out projects that are the same and do not make much sense, otherwise you will lose points.

2. The first interview was very tense and the effect was very poor, but fortunately, the interviewer was really very Nice, not only did not despise me but patiently told me the shortcomings, and how to answer in the future, which is the best gift for me, a person with no experience. During this period, I found that one of my big problems was that my head was often blank and I couldn't answer the questions, but I found out that I would do all these questions afterwards.

In order to get into the state as soon as possible, I asked teacher Xiaoqiang how to overcome this problem. The teacher's answer is very clear. I read my resume once before going to bed every night, and then close my eyes and review the resume once. I insisted on it for three days. As you can imagine, it must be very effective. Some friends may say that this is just memorizing a resume. In fact, I thought it was at first. But later found that this is not the case, this is a way to ease tension, at the same time, you can also review what you have learned, naturally practice makes perfect, and the feeling is a bit like "read the book a hundred times."

Xiaoqiang comments: sometimes seemingly "stupid" method is the most "clever" way. We all want to learn it once, and remember that it is the skill of a child prodigy. Mortals need to accumulate and sum up, and a painstaking review will be effective.

3. The basic knowledge of software testing, test flow, test case design and other questions are basically necessary. Because of my particularity, I didn't interview a senior test engineer. At that time, teacher Xiaoqiang told me that the most important thing to change careers is to join the profession first, and then they are considering earning more wages. Many people just can't tell which important leads to failure. I listened to the teacher's advice and didn't ask for tens of thousands of salaries like other students. Maybe my friends who read this book are more experienced than me, but I would also like to say that the basis of testing is very important. For example, if you have a very good use case design, you can master the business in a short time and even raise possible problems in advance. Sometimes it is more valuable to prevent problems than to solve them.

Xiaoqiang comments: I very much agree with the last point of view of this student. I would also like to express a point of view: the value of test engineering is not to find problems, but to prevent problems by summarizing them. When you can reach the point where you can point out possible problems without testing, you will get the right results.

4. The most frequently asked questions in performance testing are two types of questions. One is what is the process of performance testing. The other is what performance problems you have found and how to solve them. I was asked about database tuning, and I answered from several aspects:

L database schema.

L index.

L key parameters.

L SQL statement.

5. The performance of the front-end page. I did forget a little when answering this question, but recall that teacher Xiaoqiang said that we should talk about our thoughts even if we don't know how to do so, and make the interviewer think that you are the one who thinks actively. So I tried to reduce the number of HTTP requests, the location of CSS and JS, the compression optimization of images, and the irrelevant domain name cookies.

To sum up here, after all, the position at that time is not high, so there are not so many problems. Now it has been almost 2 years in the twinkling of an eye, and I have grown a lot.
