Before configuring the switch, you first need to connect the switch to the computer. Here is a detailed explanation of Huawei S5700S-28P-LI connecting to the computer.

First, download a Huawei Console driver: download

Then, using the configuration cable, connect one end to the RJ45 interface of the console port of the switch, as shown in the figure:

The other end is connected to the COM port of the host computer, as shown in the figure:

Install a SecureCRT on your computer, as shown in the figure:

Then, open "computer"-"Administration"-"device Manager" and take a look at the connected COM interfaces. As shown in the figure:

Finally, open SecureCRT in Quick Connect and select "Serial" for detailed settings. As shown in the figure:

Note: please set it strictly according to the figure. Do not check any parameters.
