Xiaomi announced on Twitter that the brand is introducing firmware updates for online travel agencies with 32-inch Xiaomi TV 4A and 43-inch Xiaomi TV 4A. The OTA software update will upgrade the OS version of these TVs to Android TV 9.0.

According to the brand, software updates are being released in batches. Therefore, not everyone gets OTA updates at the same time. You can expect this update to be fully available in the next few days. Because people complained to the brand on Twitter that the update took too long, Xiaomi created a Google form for the update, in which you had to fill in the TV's details, such as its serial number and Ethernet MAC address, so Xiaomi could manually push the update to your TV. Selecting this route will enable you to update faster.

Equipped with Android 9 operating system, firmware updates bring built-in functions such as Chromecast, Play Store, YouTube, Play Movie, Data Saver and so on. Unfortunately, Xiaomi did not elaborate on the full change log of these TV software updates. That said, Twitter users have posted pictures of update prompts, suggesting that the updates have also brought support from Amazon Prime Video and Netflix to these TVs. At the moment, however, I'm not sure whether both televisions support Netflix and Golden Video.

It is worth noting that 32-inch and 43-inch rice televisions have been discontinued on the market. These televisions have been replaced by 32-inch Mi TVs 4A Pro and 43-inch Mi TVs 4A Pro. Usually, TV manufacturers do not provide major software updates for discontinued televisions. However, Xiaomi seems to care more about customers than other brands.
