The difference between cssci and Core Journals

Cssci is one of the core journals, and there are many kinds of core journals, including cssci. CSSCI is the Chinese Social Science Citation Index, hosted by Nanjing University, also known as the catalogue of source journals. At present, there are 7 core journals (or source journals) selection system in China, namely:

1. Peking University Library

All the journals in the catalogue of these source journals can be regarded as core periodicals.

The core of Peking University and the core of Nanjing University (that is, cssci) are most easily compared together. Let's talk about the difference between the core of Peking University and cssci. Finally, the core of the Chinese language is selected once every four years, and CSSCI is selected once every two years.

Although "source journals" and "core journals" are not direct quality evaluation, it is recognized that selected journals are generally better than non-selected journals, and they also play a key role in the actual evaluation. Therefore, join the ranks of "source journals" and "core journals" and rank as high as possible, thus becoming the goal of journals. This reflects the role of "baton" that is often mentioned in academic circles.
