Recently, I have encountered a problem about migrating the local user profile of the workgroup computer to the domain user profile. I have consulted the relevant documents, and now record the migration process, which will be read later. (the following migration process is a virtual machine test environment)

1. Restart the computer after joining the domain

two。 Log in to the computer using the domain account domainuser, generate the domain user profile, and write SID to the registry

3. Cancel the domain account and log in to the computer using the previous local account localuser

4. Give the domain account domainuser full control over the localuser configuration file (C:\ users\ localuser) folder

Enter a user account with the right to find domain users, password

5. Check "replace all child object permissions with permissions that can be inherited from this object"

6. After clicking OK continuously, run the registry as an administrator

7. Right-click HKEY_CURRENT_USER and click "permissions"

8. Give the domain account domainuser full control over HKEY_CURRENT_USER and check "replace all sub-object permissions with permissions that can be inherited from this object"

9. Expand "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ ProfileList" and check the SID of the local account localuser (find the account SID with ProfileImagePath data C:\ Users\ localuser)

Before this operation, it is recommended that you right-export and back up the profilelist.

10. Change the ProfileImagePath data of the domainuser account SID (C:\ Users\ domainuser) to C:\ Users\ localuser

11. Delete the SID of the localuser account under profilelist, close the registry, and restart the computer

twelve。 Log in to the computer as the domain user domainuser to see if the original user profile has been migrated to domainuser

13. After the original localuser logs in to the computer, the configuration folder generated is localuser.PCname

14. After logging in to domainuser, the configuration folder is actually the file created when localuser,domainuser first logged in to the computer, and it is still in the domainuser folder; after migration, the folder created by domainuser on the desktop exists in the localuser configuration file.
