AirPods Pro offers more customization options than non-Pro AirPods headphones, thanks to the physical control of the force sensor built into each stem. In this tutorial, we will teach you how to use the AirPods Pro control to navigate music, and how to manage calls, active noise reduction, transparent mode and other functions.

Apple realized that a single virtual button was better than no physical button, so it equipped the rod of each earplug with a force sensor. Basically, it turns the flat part of the ear-facing rod into a multi-function button.

The force sensor on the stem allows you to switch between functions.

These force sensors can physically control music and dialogue and switch between active noise reduction and transparent modes. After iDownloadBlog, we will show you how to use mandatory control on AirPods Pro.

How to use the AirPods Pro control

As mentioned earlier, the force sensor built into the AirPods Pro headset can be easily implanted, paused or skipped tracks, answered and hung up.

Press: press once to play, pause or answer the phone.

Double-click: press the bar twice to jump forward.

Triple press: triple press to jump backwards.

Press and hold: press and hold to switch between noise reduction and transparency modes.

In addition, you can always say "Hey Siri" and do more with AirPods Pro, including playing specific songs, albums or playlists, making phone calls, getting directions, and so on.

This is not the only way to control headphones: you can switch between active noise reduction and transparent modes by pressing the volume slider in the control center.

Do you have an Apple Watch? While playing music, click the AirPlay icon to display the AirPods settings.

Activate Siri instead of noise control

While holding down the force sensor, you can choose to activate the Siri digital assistant through the noise control function, as shown below.

1) Open the settings on iOS devices with iOS version 13.2 or later.

2) Select Bluetooth from the main list.

3) Click "I" next to AirPods Pro.

4) under the heading "hold down AirPods", click left or right.

5) if you want to call the assistant when you press the force sensor, select Siri.

By default, when you press and hold the stem, AirPods Pro cycles through the available noise control options, but you can also customize this behavior.

Select the noise control option to cycle through the display screen

In addition to customizing the name of the earplugs and controlling the response of each earplug when clicked, your AirPods Pro settings include customized actions to determine that the noise control options for pressing and holding any stem should be displayed in a loop.

1) Open the settings on iOS devices with iOS version 13.2 or later.

2) Select Bluetooth from the main list.

3) Click "I" next to AirPods Pro.

4) Click under any left or right heading, and then press AirPods.

5) Click noise control.

6) hold down the AirPod Pro handle and select the functions that should be performed in a loop:

Noise cancellation: active noise cancellation can block external sound.

Transparent: transparent mode allows you to listen to your surroundings by listening to outside sounds while listening to music.

Off: this option turns off active noise reduction and transparency mode.

That's all. Pressing and holding the stem will cycle between the selected noise control modes.

For example, you can set the force sensor on the left earplug to call Siri when pressed, and your AirPod right lever can cycle between active and non-active noise reduction or between transparent mode and noise reduction.

Highlights of AirPods Professional Edition

AirPods Pro not only provides impressive sound, but also has IPX4 class sweat-proof and waterproof performance (that's what it means). The $250 noise reduction earplugs come with three pairs of earplugs designed to fit everyone's profile (Apple will sell replacement earplugs for $4 each).

They also include earplug adaptation testing in Bluetooth settings to help determine whether the selected earplugs are suitable for your ear.

Thanks to the extended warranty of the optional AppleCare headphones, the price is $29, you can replace broken earplugs for as little as $29 ($29 for a wireless charging box). Without AppleCare, the cost of replacing earplugs is $89.
