If the application consumes CPU or the bandwidth is relatively high (for example, the CVM is full of chicken, process CPU or bandwidth), which makes it impossible to connect remotely, you can connect to the ECS instance through the management terminal and end the abnormal process.

Operation steps

Log in to the ECS console of the CVM.

In the left navigation bar, click the instance.

On the instance list page, select the destination region.

In the instance list, find the instance to which you want to connect, and in the actions column, click remote connection.

When using the main account to connect to the management terminal for the first time, follow these steps to connect the management terminal:

In the pop-up remote connection password dialog box, copy the password.

Description

The connection password is displayed only once the first time you connect to the management terminal. If you need to use this password to connect to the management terminal in the future, please write down the password.

If you connect to the management terminal for the first time as a RAM user, this dialog box does not appear.

Click close.

After pasting the password in the enter remote connection password dialog box that pops up, click OK to start connecting to the management terminal.

If you forget your password or connect to the management terminal for the first time as RAM, follow these steps:

Modify the remote connection password.

Click send remote Command > Connect remote connection in the upper left corner of the interface.

In the pop-up enter remote connection password dialog box, enter the new password you just modified.

Click OK to start connecting to the management terminal.

When you connect to the management terminal again using the primary account or RAM user identity, enter the password in the pop-up enter remote connection password dialog box, click OK, and start connecting to the management terminal.

If it is a Linux instance, enter the user name root and the login password for the instance.

Enter the management terminal interface.

Close the pop-up remote connection password dialog box or enter the remote connection password dialog box.

In the upper-right corner of the interface, click modify remote connection password.

In the pop-up dialog box to modify the remote connection password, after entering the new password, click OK to close the dialog box.

The new password takes effect:

If you are connecting to an Ithumb O optimized instance, the new password will take effect immediately.

If you want to connect to a non-Iscarp O optimized instance, you must restart the instance on the console before the password will take effect. Restart within the ECS instance is invalid.

Copy the commander's command

If you are connecting to a Linux instance, you can use the copy command input function to enter long text, file download address, and so on.

Enter the management terminal interface.

In the upper-right corner of the interface, click copy command input.

If it is a Linux instance, you can press any key to activate the instance and enter the login interface.

If the Windows instance is persistently black, you can click send remote command > CTRL+ALT+DELETE in the upper left corner of the interface to enter the login interface.

The management terminal is inaccessible, what should I do?

I use IE8.0, why can't I use the management terminal?
