How long is the appropriate backup time for changelog?

If you use it for 24 hours, the data during the time gap of disaster recovery will be lost. If you hang up the Master, you need to know in time, otherwise the data will be lost more and more.

But even if Master knows right away that changelog and matedata.mfs.bak are copied from Metalogger to recover the entire MFS, engineers who operate keyboards quickly and are quite familiar with the system do not seem to be able to guarantee the loss of data.

So should we think about how to optimize MooseFS disaster preparedness and recovery:

First, many classic HA software: Heartbeat, VCS, Skybility

Real-time synchronization of Master host data and monitoring of Master processes and ports

Third, use Keepalived
