Shulou(Shulou.com)05/31 Report--

Samsung lost its order for iPhone chips as early as 2013, when Apple reached an agreement with TSMC province, so the South Korean tech giant seems to have found a way to work with Apple to reproduce the next generation of iPhone chips.

Samsung recently bought the most advanced chipmaking equipment on the market to produce seven-nanometer mobile processors, which apparently can only be used on Apple's iPhone devices, according to investors.

Oh (right) Wu Hyun, vice chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics, is in charge of the chip business. When he visited Cupertino's headquarters last month, he seemed to have managed to reach an agreement with Apple.

In the same report, industry insiders said Samsung was already the only supplier of organic light-emitting diode displays that Apple reported in iPhone in 2017. "investors may persuade Apple executives to take advantage of their close relationships in the field of organic light-emitting diodes," said an industry insider in 03010.

So, after a few years of pause, Cupertino made only one deal with TSMC, and Samsung finally seemed to be working with Apple again. Now, TSMC must share some iPhone orders with Samsung next year.

However, it is reported that Samsung is currently testing its newly purchased chipmaker and will then try to seek Apple's final approval before starting producing chips for next year's iPhone devices.

Meanwhile, it seems difficult for Apple to produce this year's iPhone (said to be called iPhone 8) at its Cupertino headquarters. Recent reports show that Apple hasn't started producing iPhone 8 yet.
