Recently, when I was sorting out the relevant monitoring, I found that there was a new version of Nagios on one of the servers, so I made an update, and the update in Nagios is very simple. First, download the latest Nagios core engine on Nagios's official website, and then you only need to recompile Nagios's core engine. Only make all & make install is needed after compilation. Other initialization installations do not need to perform the check command that comes with the installation to check the configuration parameters, comment or modify the discarded or modified variable parameters in the new version, restart Nagios after the modification, and then complete the upgrade. Of course, it is recommended to make a corresponding backup before the upgrade, so as to avoid major problems that cannot be restored after the upgrade. The same is true if you need to upgrade Nagios piugins and nrpe.
