There are two switches and one hub under one router, three PC under the two switches and four PC under the hub:

In the network shown above, it is not difficult to calculate three broadcast domains, because three ports of router are directly connected to two switches and one hub.

But aren't there seven collision domains? How come there are nine? The two switches use a total of six ports, plus a hub is directly connected under the router, which is also a collision domain.

As a result, I can draw 7 conflict domains of 6-1-7. Where on earth is it less?

By the way, there is still a collision domain between the router and the two switches. This point also needs special attention.
