Android tablets have always been an unfamiliar part of the tech landscape. Can the new iPad maintain solid performance because its sturdy frame retains internal components? Absolutely! While the 10-core MediaTek Helio X27 SoC isn't a behemoth processor by any means, it's a powerful package for budget devices. Every app we tried--from productivity to gaming--worked well, with no noticeable performance degradation. From PUBG Mobile to Photoshop Express and even video editing-Hipad doesn't shirk responsibility for performance when it comes to running apps. Of course, when it comes to games, you have to be reasonable: Don't expect cutting-edge GameCube simulations to work well.

Unfortunately, experiencing these apps doesn't meet the requirements. While the 10.1-inch IPS display panel provides brilliant colors, touching the digitizer below the display can lead to inaccurate and frustrating input. From text messaging to gaming, iPad LTE always requires more effort to type your commands-copying and pasting text is a particularly annoying activity.

Similar to the screen, other aspects of the device's standard content are also far below expectations. Mono speakers suck: listening to music or watching video at low or high volumes delivers bass quality close to that of a 2005 Sony Handycam. Too bad the low quality headphone jack doesn't work either.

Thankfully, the worst aspect of the Chuwi Hipad LTE is its impressive 7000 mAh battery, which fits the appeal of many mainstream tablets with two days of battery life. There is a simple USB-C port on the top of the device. This multi-day battery can be fully charged in a matter of hours.

Chuvi is pushing LTE to become a productivity device, so it needs an impressive battery. Good enough to use keyboard attachments--though too flimsy on a standard folding stand--for long typing sessions, the iPad can be used to do anything from writing wonderful websites like MSPoweruser.com to basic video editing. The keyboard's built-in touchpad is also ideal: it helps avoid the dreaded touch sensitivity on the display.

Ultimately, Chuwei iPad LTE is the ultimate hybrid Android tablet. Everything it does is good and there is always something else to improve the quality. Nothing surprising, but it fills the "good enough" mantra that Chuvi tablet products seem to struggle to do. If you want a good Android tablet with a pure Android 8 experience, this is definitely a product worth considering.
