­on January 26th, China University of Science and Technology of National Defense and the development team of Tianjin Kirin Company officially released the Kydroid beta1 version. Kydroid is an Android-compatible operating environment created by the Kirin team for the Galaxy Kirin operating system + Feiteng platform to address the diverse application needs of users. Kydroid allows users to install and run all Android applications, such as Android games, QQ, stocks, etc., in the Galaxy Kirin operating system.

­Kydroid received wide attention from Linux enthusiasts and industry after releasing the Alpha version in November 2017, and received a lot of suggestions and opinions through the trial version. The release of Beta1 takes 4 months of development, and the main features are as follows:

­1. To improve the startup mode of the execution environment, you can start the Kydroid environment by clicking the APP shortcut or the "Kirin Android program" shortcut. It takes a little longer to start the program for the first time after boot.

­2. Support the vast majority of ordinary APP and some large 3D game APP

­3. Support for shortcuts in the start menu with several commonly used APP

­4. You can download the APK package to install Android APP. Just double-click the APK file to open the installation wizard. After the installation is complete, a shortcut will be created on the desktop and start menu.

­5. A new horizontal and vertical screen switching function is added, and users can switch freely between horizontal and vertical screens with one click.

­6. Support Arena of Valor's WSAD cross key (the switch is located in the right bar of the interface)

­7. At present, running large and complex 3D games may occasionally have stutters or other abnormal conditions, which will be further improved in the future.

­Kydroid project is still under development and can only run on "Feiteng + Kirin" platform. It is expected to expand to X86 and Youkylin platforms later this year, and will improve and develop more new features. Support for Android applications will also be more comprehensive, practical and stable!
