This paper analyzes the present situation and problems of enterprise electronic circuit design and manufacturing system, and puts forward the method of design and manufacturing integrated system based on PDM (product data management) and some key technologies in the implementation of the system.
I. Overview
At present, EDMI (Electronic Circuit Module Design and Manufacturing Integration) system generally uses manual management or only based on database support for data and information management. In this case, the product development and production process is mainly divided into product design, process design (including tooling design), production management, product manufacturing, quality assurance and sales and other relatively independent management, design, manufacturing and sales stages and their corresponding department divisions, each stage and department will produce a large number of product data and documents, which are scattered in each system. The data organization structure with the product as the object can not be formed, the degree of information sharing is poor, the data query within each application subsystem and subsystem is difficult, and the query efficiency is low, especially for the enterprises with small batch and flexible production type. in particular, it is necessary to carry out flexible and fast process control and data sharing for the whole life cycle of its products.
Therefore, enterprises urgently need a means to effectively, quickly and comprehensively control and maintain their product data and production process, and establish a data warehouse of electronic circuit module products. establish a product data model (classification model, attribute model, organization model, etc.) The design data of electronic circuit module products (electrical schematic file, P C V board diagram file, component B O M, design specification, etc.) , process data (process rules, process parameters, equipment data, tooling data, material data, etc.) , quality data (welding quality data, functional quality data, …) And other organic organizations to establish the electronic circuit module product data classification and query mechanism to achieve efficient product data management and information sharing.
2. The key technology of the application of PDM in the integration of electronic circuit design and manufacturing.
1. Establishment of working mechanism of remote collaborative design.
The so-called remote collaboration refers to the cooperative work mode between the personnel of the department who are not in the same region. Each design unit independently designs part of the product according to the different division of labor, but through collaborative work to complete the design and development of the whole product, that is, collaborative design, because of the geographical relationship of each design unit, the whole process of collaborative design work is called remote collaborative design.
Because there is a geographical remote environment between the enterprise and the design units, and each design unit is only responsible for the design and development of a certain part of the product, and only involves the generation, maintenance and use of part of the data of the product, this kind of data is stored in the distributed database where the design unit is located. Through the distributed PDM system, the remote product data management system can be established on the basis of distributed database.
Set up a directory server in the distributed PDM system, which stores the directory of the data that the PDM system of each design unit is prepared to exchange with other design units, and the ownership of the directory belongs to the publisher. In the local independent PDM system of each design unit, through rights management, users can process and exchange data efficiently and quickly in the local local area network. The local database server records all the user accounts and work permissions of PDM in this area, and saves all the characteristic attributes and catalogs of the product design data in this area.
All the detailed product design data generated in this area are stored on the local file server. When users need to exchange data with other remote users or departments or refer to other design information, they can open part of the data to the public as needed, other users and departments can view the data through the design file pointer on the directory server, and cannot change the data without authorization, which provides security and secret management for the distributed PDM and directory server system. The system architecture is shown in figure 1.

2. Development of system integration interface
In each system of EDMI, PDM system realizes the integration of design information and sharing of remote information, and ERP realizes the integration of production management system. The problem of "information isolated island" among heterogeneous subsystems is solved through system integration, and the effective organization and management of shared data are realized.
The software association between PDM and EDA (Electronic Circuit Design Automation) / C APP (computer aided process Planning) / ERP makes PDM system, as an intermediate platform, plays a role of data transmission between each system. Each system only needs to carry out data conversion and transmission with PDM system alone.
Take the information integration of PDM and EDA system as an example. It includes document-level information integration and product structure-level information integration. According to the characteristics of "decentralized design and centralized manufacturing", document-level information integration adopts the way of one-way data exchange between EDA and PDM, that is, the EDA system transmits the electronic circuit schematic diagram, P C B board diagram, BOM and so on to EDMI's PDM system. PDM does not modify the design drawings, but only returns the design change notice and batching processing information to the EDA system.
Product structure level information integration refers to transferring the product object and its structure information in EDA system into PDM system through the integration interface, so as to achieve the consistency of product object and structure information between EDA system and PDM system. Therefore, for the BOM (raw material list) information, it is necessary to compile the interface program between the EDA system and the PDM system, and use the intermediate format BOM file to transmit the data, that is, the BOM information of the EDA system is saved in the intermediate format, and then transferred to the PDM system. According to the information in the file, the PDM system establishes the corresponding product object and its structure in the system. The product structure level information integration between PDM and EDA system is shown in figure 2.

The scheme and algorithm of information integration between PDM and CAPP/ERP is similar to that of EDA.
3. Realize integrated process control
Through the development of process management function, a concurrent integrated supporting environment of product design and manufacturing is established to realize the process control from remote collaborative design, manufacturability analysis, process design to production, which covers remote CAD system, EDA integrated platform, CAPP system, MIS system, quality system and production management system, and solves the problem of electronic process control. The establishment of this management mechanism makes the whole product development process coordinated, realizes the orderly management of task flow and workflow, and speeds up the process of product design. Through the effective monitoring of the whole process flow, the formation process of product data can be saved effectively, and the phenomenon of different departments using different versions of design drawings can be avoided, so as to avoid the phenomenon of unclear responsibility in the process of product development. At the same time, the idea of parallel product design is introduced into the process management to shorten the document transmission and processing time, and improve the design and manufacturing efficiency of the enterprise.
4. Establishment of security mechanism
Through the definition of authority, role and personnel, the security mechanism of electronic documents is established, which ensures the security of system data and improves the reliability and practicability of the system. Like other information systems, Role management is an important part of PDM management workgroup and users. Users using PDM system must have a certain role in order to log in to the system and obtain the corresponding permissions given by the system. Through role management to ensure the security of data in the database and prevent ultra vires operation.
III. Conclusion
Product data management system is a kind of management technology, or a kind of management idea, which will have a far-reaching impact on the management of the whole EDMI, and lay a solid foundation for the final establishment of an advanced parallel manufacturing environment: 1) perfecting and standardizing the technical management system; 2) establishing a product data information base for resource sharing; 3) establishing a parallel and advanced product design and development environment to shorten the time to market. 4) establish a unified information organization and use environment, realize the rapid transmission and feedback of product information from design to process and then to production preparation and workshop; 5) reduce product scrap, repetitive work and redundant parts; 6) establish electronic rather than paper-based product design, analysis, change, production process; 7) reduce the number of changes in product design and trial production, reduce costs 8) implement comprehensive and standardized quality management in the process of product design and production.
