Result analysis test log

Personally, I feel that when doing stress testing, the pre-configuration is actually relatively simple, according to the instructions and documents step by step. The most important test of the whole process is the last stage of analysis, how to analyze the information from the data, find problems, and make adjustments, optimization or reasonable design according to their own environment.

Click analyzer in the lower left corner

By default, click save

Click the folder named after the test just now

The first thing you see is the name of the test, the load, the duration, and the successful session.

Click VSIMax v4

The two references found on the Internet are as follows: for reference

Description 1:

[VSImax v4] represents the maximum number of sessions when the system is saturated. The blue line indicates that the VSImax is the largest. A higher value indicates stronger scalability.

[VSIbase] VSIbase is the performance of the system, but also has no burden on the environment. This number is used to determine what kind of performance threshold is greater. VSIbase gives basic performance metrics of the environment (the lower the better).

[VSImax v4 threshold] indicates that the saturation point is reached in the environment at that point.

[Stuck Sessions] indicates how many sessions are stuck during the test, which should be 0. If a stuck condition occurs, the VSImax score of the stuck session that does not generate load will be reduced by the number of stuck sessions.

[Minimum Response] the minimum response indicates that the minimum response time takes everything, and the number of sessions on the X axis is an active measure

[Average Response] the average response indicates that the average response time is taken, when the number of sessions on the X axis is an active measure

[Maximum Response] when the maximum response time indicated by the maximum response is measured, the number of sessions on the specified X axis is active

The [VSI Index Average] VSI index averages the average within the calculated VSI. The average VSI index is different from the fact that the average response is a pure average response. VSI averages to avoid too much influence from the peak.

Note 2:

VSIMax v4 is the most important report in test log analysis. It shows the most important test results and indicators and observes the Chinese characters in the red box on the upper left. Some numerical values have no practical significance, only have statistical or comparative significance.

The first line of not reached indicates that this amount of load has not reached its peak, because my test environment is R720, with two 10-core E5 CPU and 256 GB memory, and 20 sessions certainly do not reach the peak.

Click the VSIMax v4 Detailed tab. The interface displays test detail data. The following is the definition of nouns:

Click the WSLD, NSLD, WFO, NFP, ZHC, ZNC tabs to observe the independent response time of each test action. For more information, please refer to the official documentation.

AppStart can see the startup time of each application software.

LogonTimer shows the login time of each VM during the test

If you don't like the presentation of the data here, you can also export the final VSIMax Data and Raw Data data and use Excel tools for graphical analysis.
