OnePlus recently released a small update for OnePlus Nord 2 that includes a February 2022 Android security patch. Although this update does not bring much else in terms of new features or changes, it introduces an annoying error that freezes the device in the gallery application when sharing images.

OnePlus officially acknowledged the problem in a post on its community forum yesterday and announced that the fix would be released in about a week. In addition, the company has shared a temporary solution to help users avoid the error. If you encounter this problem on OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus's workaround does not help, you will be pleased to know that the company has begun to introduce new updates to resolve the error.

OnePlus Nord 2 OxygenOS A.18 error fix update

According to screenshots shared by OnePlus Nord 2 users on the OnePlus community forum, the device's latest OxygenOS update (v A.18) fixed the "freeze problem when sharing pictures in the gallery". This is a small update with the size of 167MB and does not include any other changes. OnePlus has not shared any official information about this update, but we believe it is currently being launched to a small number of Nord 2 users and should be rolled out to other users in the next few days. If you do not want to wait for the OTA notification to pop up on your device, you can manually install the update by downloading the incremental update package from the link below. Be sure to download the incremental update package that corresponds to the current version of OxygenOS on the device.
