When the iPhone X was released in 2017, Apple also released a charging pad that can be used as a must-have wireless charger for all Apple products.

In other words, it can charge not only the iPhone, but also the Apple Watch and AirPods, giving users the option of buying chargers for almost everything.

Apple took a peek at AirPower, an Apple-designed wireless charging accessory that will launch in 2018. Apple said in a statement released in 2017:"This accessory provides a spacious active charging area, enabling iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X customers to charge up to three devices simultaneously, including Apple Watch Series 3 and a new optional AirPods wireless charging case."

However, the device ultimately succeeded due to news that Apple failed to build the device as expected for its high quality. So while iPhone-compatible wireless chargers are still on the market, AirPower never became a reality.

Fast forward to 2021, where Xiaomi launched a charging pad that looks and feels very similar to AirPower.

The new wireless charger provides up to 20W of charge per device and supports three devices, resulting in a total output of 60W. You can put the device anywhere on the charging pad and still use it, because Xiaomi has equipped its charging pad with a total of 19 wireless charging coils.

The device supports Qi wireless charging, so theoretically it could even charge an iPhone, because why not?

At first glance, it is quite affordable, because Xiaomi plans to sell for 90 yuan. Apple has never announced the cost of AirPower, but I think Xiaomi's device is cheaper.
