How to install oracle11g on solaris11, many novices are not very clear about this, in order to help you solve this problem, the following editor will explain for you in detail, people with this need can come to learn, I hope you can gain something.

In order to study vaga Daniel's series of articles, I decided to install a solaris11 and install oracle 11g on it. Since I have never been in contact with solaris before, I have encountered a lot of problems in the installation process, so I will record them one by one below for later review.

1. Install solaris

1.1 install the solaris character interface

First of all, download the solaris-text image from the oracle official website, the size is more than 500m, the installation process is very smooth, basically all the way to F2 function key down (equivalent to next)

1.2 install the solaris graphical interface

Log in to solaris, and then execute pkg install solaris-desktop. The default package used here is the URL of repository. There is an article on how to modify the default package repository to point it to Oracle Solaris 11 supported repository (https://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/support), but when I follow this action, I suggest that the URL is invalid!

two。 Create an oracle user

Root@solaris:~# groupadd oinstall

Root@solaris:~# groupadd dba

Root@solaris:~# groupadd oper

Root@solaris:~# useradd-g oinstall-G dba,oper oracle

3. Create an oracle directory

Root@solaris:~# mkdir-p / u01/app

Root@solaris:~# chown-R oracle:oinstall / u01/app

4. Modify system parameters

4.1 modify kernel parameters

Root@solaris:~# projadd-U oracle-K "project.max-shm-memory= (priv,4g,deny)" user.oracle

Root@solaris:~# # projmod-sK "project.max-sem-nsems= (priv,512,deny)" user.oracle

Root@solaris:~# # projmod-sK "project.max-sem-ids= (priv,128,deny)" user.oracle

Root@solaris:~# # projmod-sK "project.max-shm-ids= (priv,128,deny)" user.oracle

4.2 modify network parameters

Root@solaris:~# # ipadm set-prop-p smallest_anon_port=9000 tcp

Root@solaris:~# # ipadm set-prop-p largest_anon_port=65500 tcp

Root@solaris:~# # ipadm set-prop-p smallest_anon_port=9000 udp

Root@solaris:~# # ipadm set-prop-p largest_anon_port=65500 udp

5. Set the oracle environment variable

-bash-4.1$ cat .bash _ profile

ORACLE_BASE=/u01/app

ORACLE_HOME=$ORACLE_BASE/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1

ORACLE_SID=wilson

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib:$CRS_HOME/lib

PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin:$ORACLE_HOME/bin:$CRS_HOME/bin

Export ORACLE_BASE ORACLE_HOME ORACLE_SID LD_LIBRARY_PATH PATH

6. Run runInstall

At this point, it is basically no different from a regular oracle installation.

7. Errors during installation

7.1 [INS-13001] Environment does meet minimum requirements. Are you sure you want to continue?

Solution: download oracle Patch 10098816 and install it

7.2 Checking monitor: must be configured to display at least 256 colors > > Could not execute auto check for display colors using command / usr/openwin/bin/xdpyinfo. Check if the DISPLAY variable is set. Failed
