Standalone

In the standalone environment, the status of all individual channels is in their home location x-msg-im-hlr, which directly provides subscription / query services.

Within the cluster- domain

In cluster environment, there is a special network element x-msg-channel-status to provide status subscription / query service, but the status source of individual channel is still its home location x-msg-im-hlr.

Cluster- cross-domain

In the cross-domain scenario, x-msg-channel-status initiates subscriptions to the target home location x-msg-im-hlr. Of course, cross-domain requests are made only when subscribed channels appear for the first time. This reduces considerable inter-domain signaling.

Color map

Client A subscribes to the status of extraterritorial client B.

An individual channel status change notification is always triggered by its home location x-msg-im-hlr.

Take the cross-domain environment of cluster- as an example, color map:

After client B lost, it is triggered by its home location x-msg-im-hlr, and finally notified to client A. through x-msg-msc.
