Take the SQL Server 2008 of the CVM as an example, remote connection is not allowed by default. If you want to use SSMS locally to connect to SQL Server 2008 on the remote server, connect to the database remotely. There are two parts that need to be configured:

1.SQL Server Management Studio Express (SSMS for short)

2.SQL Server configuration Manager / SQL Server ConfigurationManager (SSCM for short)

Settings for SSMS

1. Open sql2008 and log in as windows. After logging in, right-click "Properties". Select Security on the left and select SQL Server and Windows authentication modes on the right to enable mixed login mode.

two。 Select Connect, check allow remote connection to this server, and then click OK. Expand "Security", "login"sa", right-click "Properties".

3. Select "General" on the left, select "SQL Server Authentication" on the right, and set the password, right-click the database and select "aspect".

4. Select Server configuration in the drop-down box on the right, set the RemoteAccessEnabled property to True, and click OK. Now that SSMS has been set up, exit first, and then log in with sa. Success means that the sa account has been enabled.

Configuration of SSCM

1. Open the sql server configuration Manager, start configuring SSCM, select "SQLServer Services" on the left, and make sure that "SQLServer" and "SQLServer Browser" on the right are running.

two。 On the left, select the protocol of sqlexpress under the sql server network configuration node, and the TCP/IP on the right defaults to "No". Right-click or double-click to open the settings panel and change it to "Yes".

3. Select the "IP address" tab, set the port of TCP to "1433", change the "TCP/IP" of "client protocol" to "Enabled", complete the configuration, and restart SQL Server 2008.

You should be able to use it at this time, but you still need to make sure that the CVM firewall. Turn on the firewall settings. Add SQLServr.exe (C:\ Program Files\ Microsoft SQLServer\ MSSQL10.SQLEXPRESS\ MSSQL\ Binn\ sqlservr.exe) to the allowed list.
