January 18, 2022 Collated Release: We'll have to be patient to discover all the big news Windows 11 has for us. In fact, according to recent rumors, the next major update of the operating system will be completed around May 2021, so it should be available. Open to the public in summer.

If it's hard to define Windows 11 as a revolution, the operating system has been able to polish some of the outdated aspects of Windows 10 while making it easier for novices to use. However, we have to admit that users haven't eaten much yet in terms of new features. Most of the expected features are currently only available to Insiders, while the public (somewhat exaggerating) must be satisfied with new designs and improved performance.

So it's natural to wait impatiently for Windows 'next major update. We hope to see this land early next year; unfortunately, we seem to have to wait much longer. According to rumors reported by Windows Central, large novelties will appear in summer 2022. The final version, called Sun Valley 2, should arrive at manufacturers in May.

The 22H2 version is internally codenamed "Sun Valley 2," which further justifies the comparison with 1511; since after the initial version, it was codenamed Threshold 2. Many built-in apps will also get updates; including Notepad and Groove Music, both of which are already in preview.

We don't have specific information yet about the new features Sun Valley 2 will bring. However, we can make some reasonable assumptions based on the features currently available to Insiders program members. As a result, Windows 11 may eventually provide native support for Android apps. Currently, users can install APK versions using third-party apps. Other expected features may also appear; for example, the famous drag-and-drop feature on the taskbar disappeared during the transition to Windows 11.
