(5) A few minutes later, the "installation results" dialog box pops up, which shows the server role that was successfully installed. Click the close button. After restarting the computer, IIS is installed.

Configure the default settings for the application pool and enable 32-bit support

(1) Open Server Manager, click role-Web Server (IIS) Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, click the computer name "Application Pool" in the new window, and click "set Application Pool default Settings".

(2) in the "Application Pool default Settings" dialog box, click the text box to the right of "enable 32-bit applications", change "Flase" to "True", and enable 32-bit application support.

Add an ASP site

(1) Open the "Server Manager", click "role-Web Server (IIS)-Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager-website-Default Web Site", click "basic Settings" on the right side of the window, and pop up the "Edit site" dialog box.

(2) Click the browse button on the right of the "physical path" box to set the root path of the website. Click the Connect as button, pop up the Connect as dialog box, select specific user, and click the Settings browse button

(3) in the "set credentials" dialog box, fill in the user name that has security control rights to the root directory of the website, usually the computer administrator user, enter the correct login password twice, and click "OK button".

(4) in the dialog box in step (1), click the "Test Settings" button to display the correct results dialog box, your site basic configuration is successful.
