Today, the TOP10 companies with the highest market capitalization in the world are all Internet companies, such as google, Microsoft, Amazon, Tencent and Alibaba, and there is only one Wal-Mart from traditional industries. Global market capitalization TOP enterprises are also the largest computing power consumption, market capitalization ranking and server procurement ranking are basically the same.

From the perspective of the form of computing development, cloud computing, intelligent computing and scientific computing three typical computing scenarios have become the mainstream information form. Among them, scientific computing is mainly used to complete the frontier scientific and technological fields such as space exploration, oil exploration, marine development, industrial simulation, gene sequencing and so on. Cloud computing has become the "water, electricity and coal" of today's economic and social development, and all aspects of our work and life have been inseparable from the network, cloud computing and other infrastructure. Cloud computing has maintained rapid development in the past decade, and it is estimated that by 2020, the market share of cloud computing in China will exceed 100 billion RMB; intelligent computing represented by artificial intelligence computing has created the necessary industrial conditions for the new outbreak of artificial intelligence. Wang Endong said that artificial intelligence has experienced two ups and downs, and today's rapid development of artificial intelligence is due to the fact that there are many solutions for artificial intelligence computing. The demand for computing in enterprise office systems is linear. In the Internet era, the demand for computing power is a power growth. In the era of artificial intelligence, the demand for computing power shows an exponential growth trend. In the next three to five years, artificial intelligence computing will account for more than 80% of the total computing investment.

In artificial intelligence computing, due to the increasingly obvious demand for large scenarios and large computing, it may be less and less practical to use general-purpose chips for AI computing, while more acceleration chips will occupy the mainstream. In this regard, many enterprises at home and abroad, such as Google, Amazon, Facebook, China's BAT, Tide, are constantly innovating in the field of AI. At present, AI computing services are provided in the form of cloud on the one hand and physical servers on the other. At present, tide is in the field of AI server, and China accounts for more than 50% of the market. Most AI enterprises use wave server for in-depth learning and reasoning training of AI. In addition, the wave also continues to innovate around AI algorithm optimization, framework integration applications and so on.

Artificial intelligence has promoted the upgrading of various industries from informationization to intelligence, improved the efficiency of social economy, and triggered a new round of business model innovation in many industries. For example, in the financial field, the intelligent analysis system can complete manual contract analysis work of 360000 hours a year in seconds; in the manufacturing field, some large manufacturing enterprises have replaced more than 50% of the labor force with intelligent robots. From a macro point of view, the development of artificial intelligence will become a new engine of China's economic growth, and relevant data show that the total economic output of artificial intelligence will account for 20% of the overall economy by 2035.

After years of rapid growth, artificial intelligence has formed a complete industrial system. According to IDC data, in the first half of 2018, sales and shipments of artificial intelligence infrastructure in China increased by 176 per cent and 129 per cent respectively compared with the same period last year, while sales and sales in 12 traditional industries, including finance and telecommunications, grew by 293 per cent and 219 per cent respectively. IDC, Accenture and other consulting institutions have said that the AI of traditional industries is the future of the development of artificial intelligence industry and "the underwater part of the iceberg". This view is becoming a reality, that is, after the formation of artificial intelligence industry, ushered in the development period of "industrial AI".

For the industrial AI transformation, Wang Endong said: first of all, to carry out innovation and entrepreneurship, intelligent transformation, to attach importance to the construction of the AI computing platform, the basic platform should go first. It was previously said that if you want to get rich and build roads first, infrastructure first is fundamental. Second, it is necessary to provide conditions for the first trial of AI calculation.
