Some users have previously said that if Google hides URL's HTTP, HTTPS and WWW prefixes in the Chrome address bar, then users' security may be threatened. If you do not want Chrome browsers to hide URL's HTTP, HTTPS and WWW prefixes, you only need to perform the following simple steps:

First, open the Chrome browser

Create a new tag page in the Chrome browser and enter it in the address bar below the tab bar:

3. Find the following settings:

On the right side of this setting, you will see a drop-down menu with three options:

Default

Enabled

5. Select optional: "Disabled"

At this point, you will see a prompt at the bottom of the browser window:

Your changes will take effect the next time you restart Google Chrome.

7. There is a "RELAUNCH NOW" button on the right side of the above prompt. Click this button to restart the Chrome browser.

After the Chrome browser is restarted, its address bar can display the full URL with HTTP, HTTPS and WWW prefixes.

9. To restore the Chrome browser settings to hide the HTTP, HTTPS, and WWW prefixes, simply go to this page again:

Chrome://flags/#omnibox-ui-hide-steady-state-url-scheme-and-subdomains

Set the following settings:

Just set the status to "Enabled".
