2 preparation work

3 start the installation

3.1 in the unzipped folder, double-click setup installation

After 3.3, choose to install only the database software and click next

Why not choose to create and configure the database? If you reported an error when creating the database, your software did not install successfully, so you need to manually uninstall the software and reinstall it, so it is recommended to install only the database software)

3.4 Select single instance database installation below, and click next

What do all three stand for?

By default, we only need to install a single instance database, so we choose the first one

If we have several servers and want to build a large cluster database, we need to use the second option. Of course, we also need to configure the network and install clusterware such as grid before.

The third is that several servers are also needed to cluster. The difference from the second option is that only one server provides services, and the rest of the servers are waiting for standby. When the external servers are down, the remaining standby servers in the cluster will choose one to provide services.)

4 create a database instance

Above we just represent the software, but there are no examples and databases yet.

4.1 start running enter dbca to open the database assistant

4.2 Select to create a database, next

4.3 Select a database type

(if it is used for oltp or general situation, choose general purpose or transaction

If it is used for OLAP, choose the data warehouse.

Unless you have special requirements, choose to customize the database.

Usually just choose the first one.)

4.8 Select the storage file for the data file

The default is in the file system, which is our operating system, of course, if you have an ASM disk group on your server or if you create a cluster database, you must choose ASM. But I'm clicking install, so I chose the file system.

The following is to let you specify the path of the database file, directly select the database file to use the public location, choose another path. The directory of this path must exist and have permission to read and write to the path.

4.9 the next step is to choose whether to enable archiving or flashback

(these can be configured later, because I have to write about later knowledge, so I won't choose here.)

4.10 next, whether to configure the sample scheme and custom scripts

If you use it to learn to write SQL, it is recommended to check the above example scheme. The database will generate scott users and related objects.

Otherwise, you can check it or not.

There is no special script, we are customizing the script, so we will not run the script by default.

4.11 next, set several relevant parameters

Look at the memory first. By default, oracle will automatically occupy 40% of our physical memory. Of course, you can also resize it manually.

Remember to check automatic memory management to enable the AMM feature of oracle. It will automatically adjust SGA and PGA dynamically.

If you have experience, you can also customize our SGA and PGA manually.

Then look at the resizing option box.

Here, since the database is created by template, the block size of 8k cannot be adjusted, but we can adjust the number of processes.

(if this database is used for production, I suggest you adjust the number of processes to 500-1000 processes. Of course, it cannot be too large. Too large will waste memory. This parameter can be adjusted later.)

Then let's look at the character set.

What is a character set? it is the returned value used to store data and display content. The default value will be based on your operating system. If the default is not what we want, we need to choose another character set. The commonly used ZHS16GBK and UFT-8 character sets, of course, have special needs, so choose other special character sets.

Note that once a character is selected, it cannot be changed. So you have to be sure at this time)

National character set, default is fine. This doesn't need to be adjusted.

Looking at the connection mode

It is divided into shared and private ones, and the private ones are used by default.

4.12 in the next step, there is actually nothing special to adjust in this step, because it can be changed later. If you do not want to adjust something, you have to redo the log group. You can adjust its size, the number of groups and the storage location.

4.13 next step, the last step before installation, generally click finish directly

Here you can choose to create a database or not to create a database and just generate templates or scripts, or both.

(why generate scripts? This is mainly used as a reference to build the library manually.

4.14 after clicking to finish, displaying a summary information will tell you what components you have and according to some parameter values selected above, just click OK.

4.15 finally start to build the library, wait for the progress bar to finish, pop up the following dialog box, and click exit.

4.16 verify that the database is installed successfully and execute sqlplus / as sysdba in cmd

Then enter select instance_name,status from vault instance; command to see output similar to the following figure

5 create a monitor

After our database is created, we also need to create listeners if we want to connect from other clients or servers

5.1. start running the input netca to open the monitoring creation assistant. By default, do not change anything and click next until the following interface indicates that the monitoring creation is complete.

5.2 check whether the monitoring is successful

Enter lsnrctl status in cmd to view the status, similar to the following output

You can see the monitoring name, the location of the monitoring log, the status of the listening instance and other information.

At this point, all database installations are complete.

2. Complete uninstallation of oracle database and software

1. Stop all oracle services.

Enter services.msc in the win + R pop-up dialog box and click OK, as shown in the following figure:

After enabling the service, stop all the services that start with Oracle, as shown in the following figure:

two。 Uninstall the oracle software

Start-> all programs-> Oracle- > Oracle install products-> Universal Installer, after the "Welcome" interface starts, uninstall the product-> expand OraDb11g_home1- under the Oracle home directory > check Oracle Database 11g11.2.0.1.0-> remove-> choose "Yes" in the pop-up confirmation window. After the uninstall is complete, select close in the pop-up Product list interface, and then select cancel in the Welcome interface to exit the interface.

Note that sometimes this may not be possible to uninstall, and you need to execute deinstall

This requires the deinstall found in the prompt directory to uninstall.

Double-click deinstall to display a command prompt, wait a moment, after the contents are displayed

Do you still want to modify the details of the ORACLE database? [n]: n

3 clear the registry and other information

Run the regedit command to open the registry.

Delete Oracle-related content in the registry, specifically:

Delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ORACLE directory.

Delete all keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services that begin with oracle or OraWeb.

Delete all keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSETM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Eventlog/application that begin with oracle.

Delete all keys in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT directory prefixed with Ora, Oracle, Orcl, ORA, or EnumOra.

4 delete environment variable information

Computer-> Properties-> Advanced system Settings-> Advanced-> Environment variables, remove the Oracle settings in the environment variables CLASSPATH and PATH. (of course, if you used deinstall to delete it earlier, you don't have to do this.)

5 delete the remaining directories

Delete all Oracle-related directories (restart step 6 in advance if there is a folder that cannot be deleted), including:

(1), c:\ Program file\ Oracle directory.

(2), ORACLE_BASE directory.

(3), c:\ Documents and Settings\ system user name, temporary file in the LocalSettings\ Temp directory.

6 restart the operating system

This step is not necessary, but it is better to restart it in order to prevent accidents.

So far, the uninstall is complete.
