Background introduction:

The recent implementation of the Office 365tenant to tenant Migration project requires the relocation of user OneDrive from the Office 365European data center to the Asian data center. We know that OneDrive is different from mailbox. After the new subscription adds user and authorizes license, we can directly configure mailbox mapping and then execute Migration Job,OneDrive. It needs to be initialized one more step after that. In theory, end user can log in to Office 365and initialize it by manually clicking OneDrive in the application launcher. However, this is a data migration project, and new subscriptions do not exist for end users for the time being, so in this case, we usually use Global Admin to initialize OneDrive in batch using PowerShell instead of manual operation. However, when executing the Connect-sposervice command in Powershell today, an exception is thrown: there is no check to this command in cmdlet, as shown in the following figure:

Troubleshooting:

We know that the Connect-SPOService command is part of SharePoint Online Management Shell, and if it is not recognized now, to a large extent, there is an exception in SharePoint Online Module. Try Import-Module, but still use the same prompt:

Solution: re-download and install SharePoint Online Management Shell https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35588 close the Powershell window, start again, rerun the command, execute successfully, problem resolved
