Jabra has just released a free active noise reduction (ANC) update to Jabra Elite 75t and Elite Active 75t. So far, the Jabra Elite series does not have active noise reduction, which makes it less attractive to other true wireless earplugs that can block ambient noise.

If you already have some Jabra Elite earplugs, you can get ANC for free immediately, and the updated version of the wireless earplugs will automatically include the upgrade package.

With that in mind, Jabra seems to have raised the stakes in competition with Apple's AirPods Pro and Sony's WF-1000XM3, both of which have noise reduction intelligence.

It is important to note that once the earplugs are updated, the use of the ANC function will affect battery life.

With ANC enabled, Jabra's battery can last for 5.5 hours on a single charge, for a total of 24 hours.

By contrast, without ANC, you can get an extra two hours of battery power on a single charge.

First, you need to download the Jabra Sound app from the iOS App Store or Android Game Store.

Start the application and pair it with the device, and you will be prompted for information about the new feature and provide the Update now option. Click the "Update" button to make progress.

You can continue to use Jabra headphones with active noise reduction after download. Simply turn the feature on or off through the Jabra Sound application or by pressing the button on the earplugs.
